I went to Australia for work many years ago. It was lovely. I think. I was there for more than a month but I pretty much had to work 6 days a week because Saturday there was Friday here. So I didn’t get to see too much except the office and my hotel room. But the PEOPLE were lovely. And like a good tourist, I bought a boomerang. I still have it hanging in my office. It doesn’t look like this one, but it reminds be of my trip whenever I look at it. It really “brings me back”. GET IT?!?!?!

About the process:
Handmade kiln-formed glass is an art and science that produces truly one of a kind pieces. Sheet glass, ground glass, powdered glass, metals, paints and enamels are formed together using myriad techniques and then fired up to 1500f for many hours -- often multiple times -- to achieve the beautiful, sometimes geometric and sometimes organic forms that are never *quite* perfect. Bubbles, soft lines, and uneven edges are often natural features of kiln-formed glass.
