They call the 50s the “golden age of television”. I think — do they? I have done no research. Anyway, I submit that THIS is the golden… no, dammit, the PLATINUM age of television! There is so much great content! So much that I have to carefully and surgically curate my viewing. Top quality only. Also Big Brother. I have seen every episode.
This is a handmade one of a kind glass art piece in mid-century modern atomic design style, encased in a custom made, basswood and walnut frame meant to hang on a wall.
Total size is 7"x14" and encased glass piece is 6.5"x5". Shown stand is not included.
Mint opaque glass is complimented by white, orange and teal glass in a mid-mod design, encased in a custom made panel frame composed of basswood plywood board, inlaid with walnut plywood and engraved. The back of the piece is cut with recessed hanging hole to be placed on a nail or hook.

About the process:
Handmade kiln-formed glass is an art and science that produces truly one of a kind pieces. Sheet glass, ground glass, powdered glass, metals, paints and enamels are formed together using myriad techniques and then fired up to 1500f for many hours -- often multiple times -- to achieve the beautiful, sometimes geometric and sometimes organic forms that are never *quite* perfect. Bubbles, soft lines, and uneven edges are often natural features of kiln-formed glass.
- Food safe unless otherwise noted.
- Dishwasher and microwave use not recommended.
- Colors may appear slightly differently in digital photos than on the physical piece.
