"I'm drowning here" - Contemporary Handmade Glass Bowl in Clear
I'm drowning here
9.5 in x 9.5 in
Glass
Glass Finish: Glossy
When I was 8 years old I was sliding on some ice with kids after school, and I collided with another kid and my glasses broke and went into my forehead. I had to get stitches, and I still vividly recall staring at the light through the gauze over my eye with a numb face while I could feel the needle and thread going through my brow. Crazy. Anyway, a bowl!

About the process:
Handmade kiln-formed glass is an art and science that produces truly one of a kind pieces. Sheet glass, ground glass, powdered glass, metals, paints and enamels are formed together using myriad techniques and then fired up to 1500f for many hours -- often multiple times -- to achieve the beautiful, sometimes geometric and sometimes organic forms that are never *quite* perfect. Bubbles, soft lines, and uneven edges are often natural features of kiln-formed glass.
- Food safe unless otherwise noted.
- Dishwasher and microwave use not recommended.
