Kitschy mixture of mid-mod style with modern themes and a touch of salty humor.
This is a 7.5" x 6" handmade one of a kind glass art piece in mid-century modern atomic design style with an original graphic, mounted on a pine wood plaque (10" x 10") with painted stripes, with hanging hardware, meant to hang on a wall.
Marigold yellow opaque glass is complimented by white, brown, orange and green glass components, with copper and bright green stripes on the wood backing.

About the process:
Handmade kiln-formed glass is an art and science that produces truly one of a kind pieces. Sheet glass, ground glass, powdered glass, metals, paints and enamels are formed together using myriad techniques and then fired up to 1500f for many hours -- often multiple times -- to achieve the beautiful, sometimes geometric and sometimes organic forms that are never *quite* perfect. Bubbles, soft lines, and uneven edges are often natural features of kiln-formed glass.
