"khakis" - Retro Handmade Glass Plate in Black, Grey
khakis
6 in x 6 in
Glass
Glass Finish: Glossy
At some point in my life, probably when all the desert wars started, the color “khaki” stopped referring to the olive green drab color and started to mean a light tan. That is so crazy when I think about it. I don’t really like to think about it. Khaki will always be green to me.

About the process:
Handmade kiln-formed glass is an art and science that produces truly one of a kind pieces. Sheet glass, ground glass, powdered glass, metals, paints and enamels are formed together using myriad techniques and then fired up to 1500f for many hours -- often multiple times -- to achieve the beautiful, sometimes geometric and sometimes organic forms that are never *quite* perfect. Bubbles, soft lines, and uneven edges are often natural features of kiln-formed glass.
- Food safe unless otherwise noted.
- Dishwasher and microwave use not recommended.
- Colors may appear slightly differently in digital photos than on the physical piece.
