I see your mid-mod and raise you an atomic!

This is a largeish (13" x 8") rectangle glass platter that brings to mind a sunny afternoon in a pastel kitchen where someone is making a weird dessert in a mold that will then be garnished with lettuce and olives somehow, and yeah I don't understand mid-century cooking either. But just imagine this platter serving up some of that jellyish olive dessert!!

Pastel green opaque glass is complimented by white, and teal glass with a glossy finish with a shallow platter shape in a graphic atomic mid-mod design.

About the process:
Handmade kiln-formed glass is an art and science that produces truly one of a kind pieces. Sheet glass, ground glass, powdered glass, metals, paints and enamels are formed together using myriad techniques and then fired up to 1500f for many hours -- often multiple times -- to achieve the beautiful, sometimes geometric and sometimes organic forms that are never *quite* perfect. Bubbles, soft lines, and uneven edges are often natural features of kiln-formed glass.

  • Colors may appear slightly differently in digital photos than on the physical piece.
