I really like the Tool videos from the 90s, the ones made by the Brothers Quay. Quite disturbing in a cutesy way. I didn’t love Tool’s music itself though. I saw them play sometime in the 90s but that was because the Flaming Lips opened, and I swear to you, it was one of the best concert experiences of my life. The Lips are THE BEST live band. Even now. I saw them at the last county fair with about 100 other people and they still got it. Not sure about Tool, though, I hear they have a new album. This plate is WAY more like the Flaming Lips than Tool. And so am I.

About the process:
Handmade kiln-formed glass is an art and science that produces truly one of a kind pieces. Sheet glass, ground glass, powdered glass, metals, paints and enamels are formed together using myriad techniques and then fired up to 1500f for many hours -- often multiple times -- to achieve the beautiful, sometimes geometric and sometimes organic forms that are never *quite* perfect. Bubbles, soft lines, and uneven edges are often natural features of kiln-formed glass.
