"hot water" - Retro Handmade Glass Plate in Orange
hot water
6 in x 6 in
Glass
Glass Finish: Glossy
What’s your favorite day of the week? Mine is Thursday. I’m not sure why. I like evens. I consider Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday the even days of the week so I tend to prefer those. This is based on absolutely nothing but my feels. They are notoriously reliable.
This is a medium (6" x 6") square opaque glass dish that can hold your rings or glasses, serve a swanky sandwich, safely cradle a candle or just look good displayed on its own.
Opaque white glass is topped with transparent orange and complemented with white, orange, blue and red in a graphic mid-mod atomic design with a glossy finish.

About the process:
Handmade kiln-formed glass is an art and science that produces truly one of a kind pieces. Sheet glass, ground glass, powdered glass, metals, paints and enamels are formed together using myriad techniques and then fired up to 1500f for many hours -- often multiple times -- to achieve the beautiful, sometimes geometric and sometimes organic forms that are never *quite* perfect. Bubbles, soft lines, and uneven edges are often natural features of kiln-formed glass.
- Food safe unless otherwise noted.
- Dishwasher and microwave use not recommended.
- Colors may appear slightly differently in digital photos than on the physical piece.
