"refusal" - Contemporary Handmade Glass Bowl in Black, Red

Glass
Glass Finish: Matte
This piece was a fail that sat in my studio sink drainer for, like, literally MONTHS before I finally got the whosits and whatnots to redo it. As we say in this business we call glass, “never refuse to re-fuse”. And re-sandblast and re-shape. Now it is *chef’s kiss* MWAH

About the process:
Handmade kiln-formed glass is an art and science that produces truly one of a kind pieces. Sheet glass, ground glass, powdered glass, metals, paints and enamels are formed together using myriad techniques and then fired up to 1500f for many hours -- often multiple times -- to achieve the beautiful, sometimes geometric and sometimes organic forms that are never *quite* perfect. Bubbles, soft lines, and uneven edges are often natural features of kiln-formed glass.
- Food safe unless otherwise noted.
- Dishwasher and microwave use not recommended.
- Colors may appear slightly differently in digital photos than on the physical piece.
