You can kinda tell how much I love a piece by how many photos I load. THIS ONE IS MY EVERYTHING. When I made it I realized how much it looks like the Bauhaus (band) logo, you know, the face? Anyway the charcoal grey, very subtle mauve pink and bright orange opaque glasses mixed with the champagne and orange clear in a “ball surface” (ie, no flat bottom) bowl shape with a matte sandblast finish IS LIFE RN

About the process:
Handmade kiln-formed glass is an art and science that produces truly one of a kind pieces. Sheet glass, ground glass, powdered glass, metals, paints and enamels are formed together using myriad techniques and then fired up to 1500f for many hours -- often multiple times -- to achieve the beautiful, sometimes geometric and sometimes organic forms that are never *quite* perfect. Bubbles, soft lines, and uneven edges are often natural features of kiln-formed glass.
