Once I made a book for my friend Will, with a list of things to make him happy. I can’t remember all of it, but I vividly remember writing something in it like “the vertical beauty of a dense birch forest”. God I was a pretentious shit sometimes. This kind of reminds me of that line, but less pretense - just mauve glass and pretty little green blobs! You don’t need a happy book if you have that.

About the process:
Handmade kiln-formed glass is an art and science that produces truly one of a kind pieces. Sheet glass, ground glass, powdered glass, metals, paints and enamels are formed together using myriad techniques and then fired up to 1500f for many hours -- often multiple times -- to achieve the beautiful, sometimes geometric and sometimes organic forms that are never *quite* perfect. Bubbles, soft lines, and uneven edges are often natural features of kiln-formed glass.

- Colors may appear slightly differently in digital photos than on the physical piece.
